BPA-free, but leaks horribly!
There are only a few pros to this cup ... it's BPA-free, the handles are the perfect size for a baby just learning how to use a cup, and the lack of a valve also makes it easy for a baby to learn how to drink out of it.
Everything else is all wrong. The silicone sippy slips around and can cause leaking. If your child is anything like my son, he/she will chew on the spout, which will eventually cause the cup to leak a continuous stream. It will eventually be chewed on enough that it will be rendered useless and will have to be thrown away. I really wanted to like this cup, but it cannot withstand a teething baby/toddler.
Replacement tops are available!
My 18 month old son loves these cups. After searching on the Nuby website, I found that there are replacement tops avalable in 1, 5, and 10 packs at goodforthekids.com The correct replacement is called "Nuby Replacement Spout Wide Top Cup". Hope this helps those of you frustrated by not being able to replace broken valves!
I need this to rate higher!
This is the only cup my now 14 month old will drink from. Unfortunately, she busts the seal and as another reviewer commented, this causes a steady stream of milk (or other liquid)... I wouldn't mind if I could find the replacement spouts as shown on the nuby website, but I've yet to find a place to buy them. So for now, we're going through these cups like they grow on trees and just hoping she'll take to a straw by the time she's two.
